Answers to questions from comments

Also I have been answering many questions again, standard questions about payments of which the answers already have been given and the information is already in the blog. Next thing people start complaing again they did not get a reaction yet for a new account. If you all would finally take your responsibility and follow the blog, which is our main communication channel and thus part of your job, that would save us a lot of time so that would be very helpful. 75% of the time we are busy answering questions here, via mail, or via skype from people who are too lazy to look something up.

New answers to questions:

Can't you just roll back to private banking and reduce the costs?
No, it has been forbidden by the bank to keep doing that, just like it has been forbidden by Payoneer to receive money from private accounts. Payoneer is also just another bank, an E-bank, but still a bank. We don't take those decisions, banks do.

Why don't you pay in Crypto currency?
First of all you seem to assume we have a crypto currency business account, which we don't. Second there are many different crypto currencies. Third, on your end it might not make a difference, if the worth of a coin is 3000 or 5000 at any given moment, but business wise this would mean that every single payment would need to be checked and transferred to the exact euro equivalent at that very moment, due to accountancy and fiscal reasons. We would be busy with payments forever, simply not workable. Also crypto accounts are not safe, in the first 5 months of this year only, accounts were hacked for 1.36 billion USD.

Why do you put the costs at our side / why was that changed / why don't you pay the costs?
We did not change that, costst are always for the employee, that was the same before with private banking, but the fees for private banking are lower.
Paying all those costs from our side would cost us a fortune and we would quit offering these jobs. In fact we would need to pay money to pay you, because supercash would put that on us. You're all referring now to supercash as the bad wolf, but be glad they were willing to help us out, or we would have ceased to exist and you all would have lost your job before Nov first.
Besides that costs are country related. Banking costs are a given fact, all banks have fees and costs. But if you would be living in a country of the European Union it was completely free before and is still now, other surrounding countries like Albania or Turkey it will cost you like 10 euro, but that hasn't changed either. Sending to Payoneer is still the same as well. Countries like Jamaica, Guyana or Suriname already had these high costs even with private banking.

Why don't you use moneygram or western union?
Same as above, these kind of options are maybe useful for a small local studio or when you work at a small private chat with 50 operators, but to us it would mean we start paying at the the 7th of november and probably still busy with that by Christmas.

Why don't you use Payoneer, Paypal, Transferwise and so on.
These are all E-banking options. We can pay to them if they allow that, but we can only do that by paying from a regular bank. All these E-banks have terms and conditions and if you would bother to read those you will find out none of them support this kind of work. It is forbidden. When they find out they will freeze your account and you can't touch your money anymore. Maybe not that big of a problem for an operator that loses 75 euro, although that still sucks, but to us that would mean the money of ALL operators gets frozen and no one would get paid. Exactly like what happened to NV GOM in the past.

Why can't I get paid via someone else Payoneer (or any other bank account)?
This has several reasons. It causes mistakes at our side, some people misuse it to run a hidden studio, or simply to get more accounts to put other people on those and then the won't pay them. And it is forbidden by the client we work for to begin with.

But other companies do this, you are the only ones with these stupid rules!
Yes indeed. And that is exactly the reason all those other studio's were thrown out and complete companies were shut down or they just deleted all Nigerian operators overnight recently. Because they had to and don't follow the rules. We do.

If I open an account with (...) another bank, will the costs be the same?
We can't answer this, all banks have costs, it is not only the costs from our bank, also the costs of your own bank and the involved intermediary bank. A change of bank might mean another intermediary bank will be involved and the costs are lower (or higher!). But we can't see that, nor know that. Those things have to with what parties a bank works on the international financial market, those things are not visible to clients.

Why did you not inform us about the change or the costs?
We did inform you up front about the switch to another party and that it would be to a company (thus business) account in the blog, so that is not true. That we did not inform you about the costs, is simply because we do not know this up front. For a lot of countries it did not even make a difference, for some countries only with one or two banks. And as we've said before, for some countries the costs were already as high to begin with, because in those countries there seems to be no difference between private or business banking. Also something we could not predict. Really there is no such thing as an alert in our bank, saying, 'hey, you're gonna pay to Nigeria, you know that is very exspensive?'

By playing safe and following all the rules, towards the company and in banking, we are still able to offer jobs.
So please keep sending accusing and offending e-mails to Supercash, very smart thing to do. You might find out your are shooting in your own foot and they will tell us, you know, we quit with this totally or they will tell us to throw out all Nigerians after all but then for a reason you caused yourself.

    3. That's not encouraging at all. It is just that I have no other option, this is a nice job but this particular deduction of 30 Euro is so discouraging.

  2. Please, if the need arises to punish Nigerians, please and please, let it be the Nigerians that have caused havoc.
Each person should bear their Crissy, thank you.

I also know how to complain but I will do that only on necessary and important things.

    1. We do not punish anyone, people should start accept things instead of hiding behind a victim role. We are only sure of one thing: the standard banking costs (so, for making the transfer) are somewhat higher than for private banking, but that only differs like 5 to 10 euro (depending on the amount).
Like we have written before, the same thing happened the same time in Suriname. Those payments are done by a different Dutch bank, different party, but the bank did not change, nor did the type of account. What did change was the way the bank send it behind the screens, which increased the costs. Also as we have said before, there are many countries around the world where these costs always have been this high (like Jamaica for instance). The other Dutch bank also did not inform anyone up front, banks don't do that, they just do what they do. So also in that case no one was able to warn people in Suriname up front the costs would be suddenly double.
Because this happened at the very same time it is not unlikely a big part the higher costs are just due to changes on the international banking and financial markets.
We don't really know, but it has for sure nothing to do with punishing Nigerian people.

    1. They look at your balance, your balance is the total amount of open invoices for finished months, if that is 75 or more they pay you
